Make Waves with Us

At Oceans Tomorrow, we believe that empowering youth and protecting the ocean go hand in hand. Your support helps us make that vision a reality—by funding student-driven research, hands-on education, and real-world conservation projects.

Help Fund Shark Research

Your donation directly supports our marine research initiatives. Right now, we’re raising funds to purchase shark tracking tags, which allow students to follow shark migration patterns, study behavior, and contribute to real-time conservation efforts.

Even a small gift helps us buy equipment, expand research access, and bring marine science to life for the next generation.

Why Sharks?

Unlike what movies like Jaws or The Meg suggest, sharks are rarely aggressive—and in reality, they’re far more threatened by humans than we are by them. Misconceptions about their nature have contributed to a lack of research, leaving us with limited knowledge about these vital creatures.

Oceans Tomorrow is working to break these stereotypes and deepen our understanding of sharks—key apex predators that play an essential role in maintaining healthy ocean ecosystems.

Shark research is essential because sharks play a key role in keeping ocean ecosystems healthy and balanced. By tracking their movements, scientists can learn where sharks migrate, feed, and breed—information that helps create marine protected areas and guide sustainable fishing practices. Understanding sharks better also helps fight harmful myths and supports smarter conservation efforts for the ocean as a whole.
